As the Gaming and esports industry continues to thrive and evolve, Introducing GameX, an Acceleration program which aims to capitalize on this growth trajectory by offering specialized support and resources to emerging startups in the gaming sector.

GameX is a three-month acceleration program tailored to empower startups in the gaming and esports sector. Specifically curated for early-stage entrepreneurs, the program focuses on fostering the growth and scalability of gaming startups by providing access to a diverse range of business and technological resources, mentorship, fundraising opportunities, and fostering a vibrant community dedicated to the gaming industry.

FAQs

Yes, there is a program fee of INR 20,000 + GST which the selected startups must pay before the commencement of the program engagement. Further, a success fee will be charged from the selected startup which is 2% of any investment coming to the selected startup from the date of signing the Gamex program agreement and till the end of 18 months from the date of signing the agreement.

Startups in the gaming industry, specifically gaming studios or teams in India focusing on various game categories, are eligible to apply. They should have already developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and be aiming to fast-track their business and technological progress.

The program focuses on gaming startups involved in platform hosting, casual games, hyper-casual games, educational games, simulation games, strategy games, online reputation management (ORM), and massively multiplayer online (MMO) games.

  • Yes, startups involved in real money gaming can apply, provided their operations comply with the regulations set by the Online Self Regulatory Body (SRB) under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules of 2023.

The program offers tailored masterclasses and workshops by industry experts, mentorship, regulatory support, assistance with business development and go-to-market strategies, engagement with domain experts, networking opportunities, fundraising opportunities, and a startup toolkit.

The program spans over three months, starting with the call for applications in April, followed by evaluation and selection in May, program launch in the first week of June, interventions and engagement from the first week of June to the last week of August, and concluding with a Demo Day in the second week of September.
